3 Tips for procastinators

Are you one too? Here’s how I snap out of a funk.

1. I put my most important, can’t miss tasks first. The earlier, the better. As procrastinators, we often work off momentum. Get it going early by forcing your brain into action. If you really want to shake it, start the day with some healthy self care before you even think about working.

2. Take breaks on purpose. Don’t work yourself until you don’t feel like working. Schedule that time to recoup and have something to look forward to when you’ve earned it. Long sessions can kill that momentum you built up, step away intentionally, but make sure you come back!

3. Don’t find your places of comfort when it’s time to handle business. I personally avoid the living room and bedroom even when working from home. Go to an environment that encourages you to get into that mode, while discouraging relaxation. I’m not saying don’t get comfortable, I am saying don’t get too comfortable!

Bonus! Baby steps! You don’t have to do the whole thing today. One step a day or even one week is more than no action at all. Forward Forward Forward.
